An interview technique which focuses on a candidate’s past experiences, behaviors, skills, and abilities by asking the candidate to provide specific examples of when they have demonstrated certain behaviors or skills in the past. This method assumes that past experience is a predictor of future behaviour and performance. An example of a behavioral based interview question is “Give an example of a goal you reached and tell me how you achieved it.” Or “When you worked on multiple projects how did you prioritize?”
