A term used to describe the deliberate effort around creating change in an organization. The process, tools, and techniques all work together to make up approaches to prepare and support individuals, teams, and organizations in making a change. Making changes in a small organization is like changing the direction of a speedboat. However, when making changes inside of a large organization, it’s like changing the course of a cruise ship – the decision and effort needs preparation, effort, and time.
