A type of negotiation where both parties are required to do their best to participate in an effective bargaining process which means considering and responding to proposals made by each other, respect the process and roles of the participants, and not to do anything to undermine the bargaining process. While neither party is required to make a concession or agree to any proposal, there is a duty of the parties to accommodating to one another and negotiate with a willingness to reach an agreement.
